Every year is characterized by seasons. And really one way or the other, every human being is affiliated to different seasons. It may be as a result of atmospheric weather changes which bring about winter, spring, autumn and summer or events in world history which have permeated tens of centuries and have succeeded in giving a particular time of the year unique aura. One of such is Yuletide.
In all these, as people concerned with logos, our focus must be to ensure that no season escapes our designs. In point of fact a logo must be encompassing and must be fitting for every season—a very important point to put in mind.
For several centuries many logos have been designed but not all fit into all seasons. I tell you, there are scary logos that may end up wiping the sweet memories of Santa Claus or the Circus from the mind of an ecstatic kid.
Hence it’s just plain smart to avoid the extremes as regards religion, tradition and other elements which can really make a logo unfit for different seasons. We must not forget that the logo is one of an organization’s greatest ambassadors and therefore must be diplomatic and generally acceptable. I wish you the very best!
